Motor Vehicle Accident Physiotherapy
Global Physiotherapy offers assessment and treatment from the date of a motor vehicle collision up to the 2 year anniversary of the collision. Note: Albertans can choose the service provider for motor vehicle injury rehabilitation. You are not required to attend the preferred provider recommended by the insurance company.
The first period is usually under protocols regulation which covers up to 90 days from the date of the accident. Out-of-protocol treatment applies after 90 days. Our experienced reception staff can answer your questions and guide you to book the correct service. The billing for the first 90 days is usually to your motor vehicle insurance company. We can answer your questions on how to proceed after 90 days.
Physiotherapy
Global Physiotherapy has a team of five accomplished physiotherapists. Each professional has from 11 to 38 years of clinical experience. Our unique approach is to evaluate the problem areas as a quadrant. If the main pain area is the knee, the low back to the foot will be assessed to determine the root causes of the problem. The upper quadrant includes the neck, upper back and arms. The first appointment includes a treatment. The clinic is designed with 7 private treatment rooms and an exercise gym.
If you are booking for the first time or for a new problem, book an assessment with the physiotherapist, whose schedule and experience suits you best. We have receptionists available Monday to Friday during business hours. Some conditions are not available to book online due to more information required to set up the first assessment. If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident or are seeking physiotherapy to help with a return to work plan while on short term or long-term disability, please call the clinic to book.
Treatments include but are not limited to advanced manual therapy, joint manipulation, Gunn IMS (intramuscular stimulation), dry needling, medical acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture, fire cupping, shockwave therapy, laser, regenerative photonic therapy, functional movement screening, functional exercise prescription, and blood flow restriction therapy.
